These are the results for our survey that we put up to get a know what our target audience wanted. The first question was 'What was your favourite music video' this brought back a mixture of results as was expected however we can see the type of music video people liked for example if a narrative was preferred over one without a narrative. From this we can say people liked a storyline such as music videos like Thriller, The Monster and Waiting all night.
The question for this part was 'How do you view music videos' the main response from this was that people view most of their videos on YouTube. This means that the video will be seen a lot more if it was placed on YouTube rather than any other way to view music videos.
This question was a main one for our group as we wanted to make a narrative music video as we thought that would be our strong point. So looking at the result we are happy that 66% of the people surveyed rather have a narrative in a music video.
This question helped us determine the type of storyline we was going to make. And the main answer back was that people liked them to be fun so when we will be brainstorming we will be trying to think of story lines that will be fun for the audience to watch.
'What do you think creating a music video allows the artist to do?'. This question allows us to see what people think that artist try to when making music videos which allows us to mould our video around so it makes our band look like they are trying to connect with their fans.
