Organic/Synthetic Music

Organic music is music created by an artist or band that then is discovered by a record label who then tries to market, produce and sell this artist/bands to the correct market for there genre of music which used to be very dominant in the music industry until talent shows like 'X Factor' and 'The Voice' came about and help make synthetic more dominant in the industry.

Synthetic music is where the record label is in charge of what the type of music the artist or band plays, also what type of audience that they would do best in. They also create Synthetic bands where they get people who have never met before and group them up into a boy/girl band. The most recent of these synthetic bands are one direction where each of the members went on to X Factor individually and got told that they should group up if they wanted to go through. The members have never met before and decided to listen to their advice.

One of the first synthetic bands created was The Monkees. The Monkees was desgined to be Americas Beatles, the members where choosen from over 400 hundred applicants and straight away placed on their own television show which aired from 1966 to 1968. The Monkees biggest hit was I'm a believer.

The monkees sparked many other synthetic bands most notable of them was Boyzone where they was also created and thrown on to the late late show just a day after meeting one and other and as you can imagine the performance given from these was rather shocking. They didnt have any recorded material so all they did to impress the public was dance.
