What is a Digipak?

A digipak is a packaging that artists use to package their albums/ singles. Normally a digipak has some sort of desgin that relates to the artist/ band or their album/ single.

An example of a digipak:

Lana Del Rey's 'Born to Die' is an example of the way that albums are packaged using digipak. Having a digipak helps the artist show a artistic side. It also is targeted to the older audiences as it makes them feel nostalgic as buying albums used to be a big thing before the internet, so buying albums will make the older audiences feel young again.
